Default Re: What improvements are planned to the ground

Carwyn Jones, would need a very good reason to encourage the Welsh Government to build a new stand for the biggest professional club in North Wales. Wales already has the Principality Stadium. Plus Cardiff and Swansea stadiums locateed close to the Capital city, so in their eyes a short sighted view would be why bother investing all that tax payers money in the North ?

The North / South divide has been there for years and years and years. All the best Welsh footballers bar Giggs, Bale and Ramsey have come from the North.

The people who Assett stripped our club, took away its principal assets for their own personal gain. By separating and selling off the ground and the training ground they have really damaged Wrexham Football Club. Our club only continues to exist with a trustworthy stakeholder (the fans who actually love he club) because of the formation of the Supporters Trust.

We are still feeling the effects of those damaging years and the empty Kop is both a symbol of that terrible dark period and also a symbol of hope that the community of fans can one day turn this around.

I do like surprises, but if Carwyn Jones actually fronts up as 1st minister and delivers a new stand as part of a strategic policy for North Wales together with the Wrexham Borough Council and the ground owner, Glyndwyr then I for one will be very, very happy to see that elephants really do fly.
