Not a well attended meeting 1926 but one resolution put forward my two members saw some support - that being resolution E put forward by Adrian Bryan and Phil Davies.
They managed to gain 52 votes against 126 which was a decent result when one considers that their proposal was against the recommendation of the WST Board.
Adrian and Phils proposal (RES E) would have seen a considerable change to the way people are elected to the Football Club Board. Probably a step to far for members.
After the vote a suggestion was made from the floor that the WST board might consider some way of directly electing ONE ordinary member directly to the club board. That person would not be an existing trust board or football club board member. They would be properly nominated and elected by the membership and serve for a stated period .
the suggestion did not seem to be received well by those on the WST and football club board but they might look into it.Perhaps Phil and Adrian might have better luck if they put that watered down proposal before members at the next AGM and who knows they might just win the vote.
