I don't think any of us really thought Rhead would be on his way this season but a few other teams have thought they might snag him (Barrow,
Chester, Wrexham). This ought to put it to bed:
“He’s going to be a big part of this,” said Cowley. “He’s incredibly important to us and I wouldn’t swap him for any forward in League Two. There’s no chance.”
“He’s actually in really good condition. His body fat is lower than it was at the end of last season and his weight is at its optimum level. All is good with him.”
