The PPG table is intended to show where we will finish if all teams maintain their season to date form across the whole season. Home form is separated from away form and home points are based on the points per game average to date times 23 games. Similarly for away points. These two points totals are added to give the points for the season. The table is then sorted on the total PPG points - rounding differences are inevitable.
Obviously (DK tells me) in the early season results are skewed but become a more accurate indicator as the season progresses and it's real impact comes after Christmas when games in hand become a factor.
