Default Re: Home form will be our downfall.

Not just yesterday but like last week we attacked well, played some nice football, scored a goal and then seemed to go into our shell and invited Guiseley onto us giving them lots of possession - it's a theme that has been going on all season - we sit so deep it's untrue. Last week, Guiseley couldn't unlock us but Halifax looked much more potent and could have gone away with all three points.
Have we actually been playing well ? I think not. The games we have won recently have been against teams near the bottom of the table - Torquay United, Hartlepool and Guiseley.
We are about to discover our true credentials - remembering that another common trait is we have not enjoyed one single win at home against any club in the top section of the league - lost to Macclesfield, draws against Sutton, Tranmere and Dover.
The next 3 games could be critical to our season - but we also need to develop a ruthless professional streak - there were strange elements of play yesterday particularly late in the second half with Pearson and Quigley out on the left wing trying to do things on their own - and yet Halifax exposed us on a number of occasions with their fast left winger.

Our play is still frequently bypassing the midfield with many balls played forward to isolated players who end up going sideways at best or more often backwards - and even when we get a numerical advantage we seem to slow the tempo down to walking pace allowing the opposition to get more men behind the ball - pace unlocks defences but we don't seem to have much in the right places.
