The amount of space between our defence and “attackers” was phenomenal. Halifax Town number 7 was able to exploit this space over the course of the second half!
Quite rightly pointed, Wedgebury is a player who is comfortable playing in front of the back 4, but this leaves considerable space, lack of height in the middle and creativity.
Personally, I’d play 4-1-3-2 with Quigley and Boden instructed to pepper the net with shots; hoping midfield is there to pick up the scraps. We always seem to pass the ball into the net which clearly isn’t working.
Btw. My midfield would be Deverdics/Kelly on the left of Wright and Rutherford on the right backed up by either full back bombing it up the wing. Humour me here as Roberts seems to have elastic cord tied to him - preventing him from going forward.
