Simply stating "football is played on grass" is a non-argument. There are World Cup qualifiers, Champions League games, FA Cup games and an entire women's international tournament played on them...but not in the league in England. You can play on a sandpit at Rochdale, a ploughed field at Oldham or what is basically green coloured marshmallow at Newport but no, it's Sutton who are wrong. In years to come people on the wrong side of this debate will look like dinosaurs, and that's because they are. This position doesn't stand up to even a scrap of analysis.
