You say this as if it wouldn't have dawned on the club to ask a top team to come. Loads of clubs want them, only a handful can get them. Plus there is no balance between a hot ticket in a friendly and a worthwhile test; the hot tickets put on an exhibition that is no use from a football point of view and anyone who is useful is only of interest to diehards. People would shriek less if we played Rochdale instead of FGR but it would amount to the same thing in practical terms.
