For a big bloke he was incredibly poor in the air, yet deceptively decent with the ball at his feet (goal in the home derby v Tranmere).
I guess if he was good at all aspects of his game he would be playing higher up the pyramid - Blackpool took a look at him and probably have recognized his weaknesses and offloaded.
He tried to do a lot all on his own last season - was often out on the left flank and trying to cut in - couldn't cross the ball into the middle as there was nobody there where he should have been - probably find his level which will be at National League unless 'MANY' of his bad habits are coached out of him.
As for Deverdics - he needs to vastly improve - very poor so far and too weak - no sign of putting challenges in. We will see what a different manager can bring out of him - sometimes that's all it takes - expecting Leo Smith to be more significant this season.
