We finished the season

PL46 W30 D8 L8 GF85 GA33 Pts98 ¦ LDDLWW with an average gate in regular season of 3,806

There was also a cup run where we beat York, Cambridge and Brentford to meet Brighton away in the 3rd round where we earned a replay. 8,316 fans saw a thrilling game at The Racecourse which ended 1-1. With no further goals in extra time, it went to penalties where Brighton edged it 5-4.
Interesting stats.. eventual champions Fleetwood were 5 points behind at this early stage.
Last season, eventual winners, Macclesfield, only had 5 points from first 5 games and playoff winners, Tranmere, were not even in the running at Christmas!
Our 13 points is a welcome head start and we have a stronger squad and more experienced management behind them. Gates could be a good 50% higher than the 98 point season and we have the Danny Ward money to build a solid financial base.
Cautiously optimistic....
Two additional stats, if you have them would be to know, after the same number of games how many points (a) the current league leaders had and (b) the eventual champions had. If this was available week to week it would give a very clear indication of expectations. Keep up the amazing work!
