We created loads of chances against Eastleigh and loads against Newport first time round. The diamond appears to work and I think the secret is getting Ruthers in a central position. For the first time in those two games I started thinking we could sneak the title.
I am sorry the new formation probably means Ruthers starts ahead of Young, who hasn't done a lot wrong (apart from a two footed challenge), but it rids us of JMD which I think is a good thing. I think Grant and Beavon look a partnership that will produce. I think Grant is not likely to stay, but Quigley could hopefully do a similar job.
Ruthers is the key because his pace, quick thinking, and ball winning make him an excellent player for the position.
