Amongst the difficult decisions and actions required of a board of directors, PR is usually once of the most straightforward to deal with.
Once more, we have an example of an extremely poorly managed situation; one that if handled correctly could have been turned into a huge positive. Instead we have an unnecessary negativity about the whole thing.

To get it so spectacularly wrong again is extremely worrying.
