All to do with Mellon who kept excluding Cook - soon as Cook's contract was up following promotion he was off like a rat up a drain pipe.
Might be able to do a job for us - I don't think it will be in any way an easy task to find a striker in January - anyone who's a good standard will surely be wanted by their club or there will be an auction for him - at the end of the day money talks and the amount we have will determine the quality we inherit.
I get the impression though that GB has already identified targets and somehow feel we will do business very quickly in the new year - we really need to don't we ?
