Default Re: Why are our loan signigns in the main so poor?

loan signings are a little bit of a lottery;- but if the manager and scouts due their homework they SHOULD get it right more times than not.
the difference between Barrow's loan signings and Wrexham's is glaring. Barrow have only had 1 bad loan signing this season and he was sent back to Birmingham after a week.
The remainder have all been young players eager to impress, the main ones being;- Tyler Smith (10 goals before Christmas) Norrington Davies (No26 on Tuesday) both from Sheff Utd, Hardcastle (scored the 3rd) captain of Blackburn's U23 side. Dior Angus - the striker with the dyed blonde hair who went off after 20 mins (from Port Vale).
Having a manager (Ian Evatt) and assistant (Peter Atherton) with a lot of current contacts in the game as Premier and championship level is very important - no offence to Graham Barrow or the current management team at Wrexham - but they don't seam to have/had current contacts.
The final factor is probably you're recent record with young loan signings and how you have developed them. 2 seasons ago Barrow had Ryan Yates from Notts Forest they helped him improve his game a lot and he's currently playing in their 1st team. Last season we had Jimmy Dunne from Burnley - he got a lot of experience and confidence playing with Barrow and is currently on loan at Sunderland after spending the 1st half of the season at Hearts in Scotland. The success with developing them has made teams much more likely to loan Barrow more players - I'm not sure if Wrexham's recent seasons loan signings have improved the same way?
