If he's only here 1 day a week, I don't think he would have that much influence.
The style of play was determined by Keates signings and the solid base we had to work from.
Unfortunately the vision that Ricketts portrayed only produced limited improvement and we tended to rely on the back 4 / 5 too much.
Very average players in midfield and ineffective forwards has resulted in performances that are low on the entertainment scale.
Hughes has inherited a side of limited ability and even the strength of the side has been weakened with injuries. He can't win.
There are however a large body of posters who are happy with ugly football as long as it brings in the 3 points.
