Chester in a similar position but at least they get the majority of their 2nd year players out into Counties, Unibond or 21s teams at the weekend and the 1st years and 16s play North West Youth Alliance which is reasonably competitive. Efforts need to be made to get the players moved into affiliate teams of a weekend to get them stretching game time.

Is it a blanket approach here ,where because of the standard the football club plays, that's where the youth play? Is there no quality test, ie, catchment area, number of kids, qualifications held by coaching staff and number of coaching staff that would allow a club of any size to compete against similar structures?
