The goals for total for the last 3 seasons is 47, 49 and 56. That is utter woeful. In a league where teams are set up to stifle you, we’ve focused our wages on defenders ie Pearson and Smith.
Something needs to change in this regard. Our budget needs to be tailored toward scoring a few more goals. The goal scoring stats for our strikers is terrible. Top scorer with 6 yet we ship Mick Fondop out who had 5 before Xmas. He was crap too but at least he scored the odd goal.
Ultimately we need better players in the attacking third be that strikers, wingers or midfielders. A manager who hangs around would be great...if he’s any good.
Those running the club need to ask what they want out of it. For me, stinking the place out with poor players and spoiling tactics is not the answer. Would I be happy if we were promoted that way? Yes, but we haven’t.
