The manager calls the shots. Keates set the current pattern of play, Rickets brought in what he thought were more attacking players but didn't change a back line which was limited to Defence.
Midfield didn't work particularly well and left a big hole up to the forwards who were goal shy.
You basically get stuck in a rut of long ball crap and unless we get change throughout the team and introduce some skill and pace, it won't matter if a coach is here 1 day a week or 7 who ever the coach might be.
To add to the above, when Rickets was here Barrow organised and supervised most of the training sessions.
