We haven't got a reserve team like the days of old when we played one in the Central League because presumably someone in the club did the maths and the cost was prohibitive - can't remember but there was a bit of a rumble when Gary Mills was here - perhaps a stark choice with the limited funds available - either throw the kitchen sink at funding the first team squad or dilute it and spend less but put some of the monies into funding a reserve team - if indeed there is a viable league regionally we could enter (not sure but seem to recall most if not all north west based clubs are in the same boat - especially those in the lower league).

Travelling long distances to potential opponents in Scotland and even Ireland with travel and overnight accommodation will have a high cost - I would like to know, with the associated miniscule attendances at these games how we come out the other end without losing money ?
Perhaps our club will put something out for the fanbase in the near future.

For a club like Connahs Quay Nomads it must be a welcome break from the WPL if they can afford it but shouldn't be for us with greater aspirations to join the football league and climb up the pyramid.

We will be in the FA Trophy for sure and that alone can generate fixture upheaval - not sure what the arrangements are for this competition.
Are individual clubs invited to participate or is it a case of the National League being 'invited' to participate and expected to provide the clubs - in other words are we, as members of the National League going to have to compulsory participate in this competition ?
