The Barrow fiasco on the other hand, agreed, entirely preventable, completely puzzling (more so even than his team selections) and did more damage than losing to Orient if we are talking why we weren't champions.

ask yourself how many clubs who are doing well lose their manager mid season?
Did Orient ?
Salford ?
Solihull Moors ?
We do because of the contracts we give them.
If Hughes is a failure next season he will be sacked. If he is OK we will plod on with him and hope for the best . If he is successful he will be gone by Christmas. It’s a no win situation.
What creates this shambles ? Partly the ownership model and partly the fact that the owners are amateurs dabbling in something they know nothing about.
