Default Barrow (H) Ratings

First game of the season, chance to post first impressions of the lads in a competitive game.

Dibble - 7. Not at fault for the goal, made a fantastic save from a one-on-one first half. Otherwise comfortable in everything he did.
Carrington - 7. Solid, had his hands full and didn't make any mistakes.
Lawlor - 6. He didn't like the counter attacking Barrow did but dealt with most threats. Definitely more exposed in the new system but handled himself well for the most part.
Pearson - 6. First half he was getting frustrated - and the high through ball to Harris he tried 5 or 6 times wasn't very successful, but steadied the ship with the late pressure from Barrow. Captain fantastic as always - going to go down as one of the best captains we've ever had.
Jennings - 7. Pushed to a 7 because his wherewithall to knock the ball across to Hooper for the 1st goal, but he had a hard time against Dior Angus, in fairness I thought Angus was Barrow's best attacking player.
Summerfield - 6. First half wasn't great for him, but second half was great, so giving him an 6 taking both into account.
Young - 6. Same as above really. 2nd half he really took the game by the scruff of the neck.
Redmond - 6. You can see he knows what he's doing, but sometimes shies away from the tackle. He has the talent to really make an impact though.
Grant - 7. Scored a goal, which will do his confidence a world of good. Thought he was twice the player tonight than at any stage last season, an in-form Grant could be the key this time around.
Harris - 6. Direct, caused problems but still has a little way to go. Seems an exciting talent though, one to watch - perhaps as an impact sub?
Hooper - 8. MOTM. Could have had 2 in the first half, but the 2nd half he was unplayable. Made Granite look weak and amateurish and was involved with both goals.

SUBS:
Rutherford - 5. Worked hard.
McIntosh - 6. Decent interplay, but most notably skied one into the Tech End.
Oswell - N/A. Not on long enough to fairly rate.

Overall, an exciting, attacking edge to our side but we rode our luck sometimes. However, these are the games promotion hopefuls win, the ones that really could have gone either way.
