Not sure what everyone wants - a steady Eddie type like Carrington who does a basic job 'defensively' but hardly ever gets forward, takes the easy option everytime and passes backwards or sideways at best OR an attacking full back who gets forward and can contribute to attacks and making us more of a goalscoring threat i'e. the assist for Redmond to score at Notts County - perhaps in getting forward like JBB we become more vulnerable defensively - but it comes down to a choice of one or the other.

It doesn’t really. The best teams are built upon a solid defence first and then some. We had a solid defence and Hughes needed to more or less keep that and add things offensively. I fear that he may have overly weakened the former and not added enough offensively. That is, we are worse.
