Default Re: Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Cup R4 draw

What can we expect from our next opponents St Mirren Colts who were at home to Stirling Albion in the last round ?
Having watched the highlights they look like a bunch of kids (all are under 21 )with some poor basic positioning and atrocious defending. By an absolute miracle they won the game 1 - 0 but this was more to do with Stirling missing a first half penalty and some very poor finishing - in fairness the Colts keeper also pulled off two second half magnificent saves.

The team that played against Stirling Albion lined up with a 4 - 5 - 1 formation.

As follows.

26 Dean Lyness

2. Matthew Grant
3. Jamie Walker
4. Conor McBrearty
5. Scott Glover

6. Cameron Macpherson - scored a good goal from 22 yards
7. Matthew Reilly
8. Findlay Gray
10. Joshua Jack (Captain)
11. Cameron Breadner

9. Lewis Jameson

Subs
16 Dean McMaster
17. Alex McCaw
18. Jay Henderson

Unused
1. Law
12. Ellis
14. Girvan
15. Frew

Coach: Allan McManus

Colours: Black & white

Verdict - they scored from one of perhaps two chances they had all match - they were completely dominated through the match with Stirling camped out in their half - game watched by an attendance of 450.
Colts teams are being put in by Scottish clubs as a development opportunity for their youth players and a chance to play men's football they would not otherwise achieve - so there are some benefits for player progression - with home advantage and an expectation that our team will contain several first team regulars we must surely be more than firm favourites to proceed through this round.
