Protests need to be in a controlled manner. They must not be in a way that results in fans staying away from the club both in the short term but more worryingly long term.
Those who know me know that I frequently take my granddaughters to matches. They are the future life long fans. The atmosphere at the last home game was scary to them. One is very wary about coming to the next Saturday fixture due to the “men shouting naughty words” and “looked like they wanted to fight.”
Protest away but please be conscious of those around you. Young and old can be put off attending very easily.
