I don’t think anyone doubts that a manager can make a difference at half time, over a sustained period or even over a season or two. This thread is about the long term and how sustained progress can happen. There is very little evidence that fans ownership can deliver long term, whereas there is considerable evidence that other types of ownership can. Even the best advert for fans ownership, Wycombe , are now changing to avoid regression.
