I fully support what the WST do and acknowledge the progress we have made off the field and congratulate all the people who have been involved since the Hamilton and Gutterman years.
However football is a results based business and on the pitch our success of it hasn't been replicated.
Our short term aim has always been to get back into the football league and 12 years later we are 4th from bottom in the conference. A full and comprehensive review of where we are, what improvements can be made to help us get to where we want to go, a constructive root and branch non financial audit of the club, and the structure of how we manage ourselves both on and off the field, how both boards operate and interchange and review of the skill set, what succession planning we have in place is well over-due. This must not be seen as a criticism against the football club and the fantastic volunteers who give tremendous amount of time and effort, but a way of looking at the gaps and how we can improve and take the club forward. Situations can be improved and a club with over 4000 members and with a million pound plus turnover must look to review and assess how it operates on an annual basis. As a fully paid up WST member this is very least I expect.
