Saw both league games that memorable season.

August bank holiday Monday - 26th August 2002.
Wow ! how time fly's by.
Distinctly remember everyone baking in the sun in the Yale Stand shielding their eyes whilst those in the Mold Road stand sat in the shade - massive contrast - some things never change.
Attendance 4,340 - we were in Division 3 and eventually gained promotion after finishing 3rd.
Think Lee Mcevilly played for them that day and simply destroyed us.

The return match at Spotland that season took place on boxing day - 26th December 2002.
Attendance 3,727.
Got a feeling we went 2 - 0 down early on but pulled it back to 2 - 2 by half time and that's the way it finished - Andy Morrell a goalscorer ?
Rochdale's own Lisa Stansfield was big on the music scene at the time.
Very good chippy next to the ground on Wilbutts Lane.
Seem to recall being in Rochdale's own social club pre match for drinks.
