I was there! I was there to see the demise of a once great club and the despair of a hundred and twenty or so once proud fans.


We have reached rock bottom. Any lower and we will be a part time club in a regional league with a £100k millstone around our necks.


The Board have met with the manager to discuss providing funds for the rescue which, apparently, cannot begin until January - that may well be too late.


It's not all doom and gloom. Win our game in hand - which is at Eastleigh tomorrow night and we leap all the way to 21st on GD, though Chesterfield will have a game in hand over us. Hmm... win our game in hand... away from home... errmmm... Not likely.


We're not dead yet but the fat lady is oiling her larynx. An escape now would be bordering on the miraculous if we insist on playing hoof ball to a mini-forward who is our leading scorer but is not by any means a target man.
