Default Re: Keates blaming fans?

There are so many ‘disconnects’ around the club, aren’t there

The board, disconnected from the rest of the fans, sitting aloof in the best seats in the house

Keates, disconnected from the players for too many hours during week days when he should have them all in, six hours per day, every day, minimum (they are professionals, so do a full time job please)

Keates, disconnected from the fans, he has no relationship whatsoever with the crowd, from the moment he walks out of the tunnel, to the moment he goes back down it after the game. Gary Mills was many (failing) things, but to be fair to him he did connect with the fans, looking to applaud the crowd when he could

The players are disconnected from the fans... very few of them seem to show even a quick clap of hands towards any fans before KO

And then Keates and PE Teacher and Dario Ancelotti stand static for the entire game, disconnected from the players, instead of being animated and showing some passion

All of these things are examples of where we are NOT One Club, we are NOT united (small U)

The fans pay their memberships to the WST, the fans pay for season tickets during the dry months of early summer when there’s less revenue coming in, the fans turn up in numbers of around 4000 despite the gutless, lazy performances they have to watch, such as the Aldershot game. Anything that we are offered that can be applauded, we are onto it. Raffle tickets, sponsorships, club shop merchandise, etc etc, the same cows are happy to be milked repeatedly, if only we can generate some success at the club as a result of it.

Isn’t it about time that the Board and Keates kept their side of the bargain, and start to engage with the fans more, and from the touchline show some REAL passion during the match?
