Don't forget Ricketts inherited a solid spine of a team and an increased budget, compared to what Keates picked up. Also remember DK had signed the meanest back four in the league on 2 year deals and this gave Rickets something to build on. I can't remember his exact words but he said something like 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' and he would be looking to get us more progressive with the players he brought in.
