Right back is a problematic position - have we ever properly replaced him since Kevin Roberts left ? Just seem to keep putting sticking plasters on the gap - nobody makes it their own position long term if there is a long term at Wrexham.
Thought Thompson wasn't bad when I saw him - but like so many players we bring in on loan - the only thing to improve them is regular competitive game time to build on their sharpness fitness and confidence - throwing someone into the cauldron from cold who hasn't been playing, particularly of a young age and especially away from home is nt the best preparation 'to shine' bit what's the alternative at the moment in our current set up ?
