Not going to rewrite history and pretend it was best we parted ways when we did. However, when you look at his track record, when you hear how clued up about non league football he is, how's he's kept the ball rolling before, and how a break does us all good, then as was said at the time by a few who know their onions, he ticked an awful lot of boxes after Rickets left. As did Askey. And they were both available.

So, what goes through someone's mind to prefer someone who has been managing beach soccer for a few years or even worse, someone who has been running a foot golf centre, at such a key time in our history? What could have been.

Anyway, wish him well for more reasons than one.
