People bang on about Morrell, but the facts are he had a team of very good players who were already playing well. He just had to keep it ticking along. As a general rule of thumb the better players win more games.

Morrell lost 3 major players in Speight, Pogba and NKP in the summer of 2012, then took us to the playoff final and won the Trophy. After he’d already lost Fowler and Obeng halfway through the 2011-12. That team people say he inherited was half taken apart by the end of it. He also lost Creighton for the whole 12-13 season after about 3 games.
I’d judge him more on 12-13 and look where he took us.
