Regardless of views in general, and without knowledge as to what this refers to, being a Board member brings with it responsibility. Whatever the organisation or business it is that the person is a Board member. That includes maintaining confidentiality in respect of privileged business information or information personal to employees, providing that nothing illegal has been committed. There are ethical and integrity issues as well as duties re serving the interests of the organisation on which one serves.

This needs to be remembered.
