The Unwise Men (and their followers) have shown they have no interest in stepping down or seek a viable alternative.

The difference between them and other egomaniacal owners is that our board don't even invest their own money into the charade. They are happy to ignore valid criticism, silence dissenting voices and continue to machinate their way to power. And most importantly, to keep wasting everyone else's cash to ensure the circus remains in town.

The only way to enforce change is monetarily. Claim back your refund.

Yet more false news from the activists who are determined to undermine the stability of our great club!!! (See detail in BOLD above)

If you are a supporter of Wrexham AFC, and are not relying on a Season Ticket Refund to support yourself and your family, please don't request any money back, or you will be effectively shooting yourself (or your favourite recreation) in the foot.

Cartman: You are wrong. You are guilty of spreading untruths!!

In order to be a director of the governing body, every one of them has to be a paid-up member of the WST, just like every other member. You can bet your life that some of them (even if not all of them perhaps) will be contributing more than the minimum amount, to say nothing of the value of the volunteer work that they carry out.

In making your ridiculous and untrue statement, has it occurred to you that when grants are available for certain projects, but "match-funding" is required, i.e. an equal amount to be contributed by the club to balance the amount awarded in the grant, then the equivalent cash value of the award is accepted by the awarding bodies based upon the hours worked on a voluntary basis (at a rate appropriate to the task NOT the volunteer's normal pay rate in his/her "day job, "as well as any actual financial contribution?

That is one of the advantages of the status of the governing body not being a privately owned business, and real recognition of the work carried out by those who volunteer.

Why claim a refund if you love the club? If you do it to spite someone who you have been convinced is not worthy of holding a Board position, then depleting the club's finances is not going to hurt that person - but it will definitely hurt the club that you are supporting, which makes no sense at all.

If, on the other hand, you are in a situation where a refund is vital to you and your loved ones, then do make your request. Remember that not every club is offering refunds to its ST holders: Even Premier League Newcastle United is one example.

(NB. it is a legal requirement for every club to OFFER refunds to ST holders, but if the offer is declined, then MAKING refunds is not compulsory for the clubs involved.)
