True, I was perhaps exaggerating, but the jury really was out on Leo Smith.
I think the pressure the club is under to get promoted and the short termism means we’re not in a good position to blood our leftover youths.
Maybe if when the trust took over they said - we will be focusing on the youth but this will take a few years to bare fruit we’d eventually have got there. But the fans want big signings and to get out of this league ASAP. They made bad decisions with regards to the set up, but fans never wanted to spend a few years building a squad peppered with homegrown players.
