I think you'd be surprised. While this is probably Wrexham AFCs first experience of it, men and women do really crazy stuff when they're in love/mentally ill.
Friend of my Dad's (non religious, non mental up until that point) put a (very large) crucifix up in his wife's garden when she left him. Three decades on he can't really explain why.
