Usually I'd agree, although this time the hype isn't that bad, however the further they go the more excitable the pundits get.

England have nowt to fear with this Italy side who are not a patch on previous sides.

They should set up as per the Ukraine game with Rooney in support of Welbeck. I'd expect a much better display from Rooney. However, the likes of Milner and Young have been England's disappointing player which is a little surprising. I would still start with them on Sunday as both are very solid performers and you'd expect Young, Rooney and Welbeck to combine well with their Man Utd connections.

This game can, and will, go either way and depends on who turns up on the day and who takes their chances. I'd take Welbeck and Rooney over Cassano and Balotelli or Di Natalie however.

I can see this ending up 1-1 and England winning on.............Penalties

Roys gone on the record before as saying he's played the same way for 20 years and he sees no reason to change as its always done well for him, 4-4-2 he thinks "fills the pitch nicely". He won't change.

Both teams will be happy with the draw, neither side has much of a wow factor for me. I think most making judgements on the standard of the Italian team probably haven't seen a great amount of a lot of their players and I would include myself in that camp. A lot of the German team 2 years ago were not well known in England until they battered them.

I can see a drab game with Germans smiling as they breeze through without expending much energy.

Nothing wrong with old school if done well.

Quite why some frown upon 4-4-2 as if it's the formation of evil is beyond me.

I can remember when 4-3-3 was frowned on. Fashion at the time I suppose.
