Discounts At Dickens Car Showrooms

Would there be any chance of Trust members getting a discount off cars bought from Dickens at all?

My car was bought from Dickens' in Mold in 1999 and I am pretty sure that I will get another one from Sir Neville in the future, so if I could get a discount then I am sure that would sway me

Or discount for servicing and parts. I'm just about to order a new Vauxhall, but it has to through a lease company, but i'll ensure the after-sales stuff goes throught Dickens

But Statto,what if the very same car you wanted to buy at Dickens was available from a non franchised dealer for a lot less money?

That's a good question!
I'm always looking for value for money and will usually go for the best price I can get. But on something as important as a car I might be prepared to give my business to a local company that I can trust, especially a company who supports Wrexham Football Club.

This is the same for any other company in the area, if they are financially supporting Wrexham FC I would be more inclined to give them my custom!

I doubt if I will be in a position to change my car for a while yet anyhow as I'm trying to save up to move house at the moment.

When your talking big bucks you have do what you feel is right for you. Thats kind of why I mentioned the after sales bit, they tend to fluctuate between dealers by a few pounds here and there and parts are pretty much the same whatever dealer you get them from. A lot of people are in the same boat as me and drive lease vehicles which get bought direct from Vauxhall or Lex etc so we have no influence where the money goes to, but you can influence the servicing side of things by speciying where you want the car going to.

If you do see the same car cheaper elsewhere, theres no harm going to talk to the dealer and show them the deal, and tell them why you want to but locally, they might be able get closer to the figure than originally thought.

Whereever possible I will try to make sure my money goes to a local business and not into some fat wallet at an office somewhere near the M25, otherwise we'll be left without any local traders.

Dicken's do MOT don't they?

I am thinking of going somewhere else next year to have my MOT, somewhere a bit cheaper and I might be swayed to go somewhere that has a discount to WST members

The thing is though I've been going to the same place for the last 4 years now and you know that they are going to do a decent job even if it costs a tenner extra to somewhere else.

I could be paying a cheaper price somewhere else but then they find stuff wrong with my car which leads to paying more on repairs!
