Now, I'm not always a fan of testimonial matches, but the fact Manchester United are giving one to a true hero in Harry Gregg is defiantly an exception in my books. For anyone who doesn't know Gregg was Manchester United's goalkeeper during the 50's and was a member of the famous Busby Babes. He is one of the few that survived the 1958 Munich air disaster and he stayed with the burning plane to help passengers to safety risking his own life.
Harry Gregg will celebrate his time at Old Trafford on 15th May 2012 with a long awaited testimonial organised by John White and John Dempsey from the George Best Carryduff Manchester United SC. The testimonial will feature Manchester United playing an Irish League Select XI managed by Martin O'Neill & David Jeffrey.
