Disagree about Suarez, without him I dread to think where liverpool would be. There are other senior players who should take more responsibility for the medicore form including their captain who takes one of the biggest wages in the premiership, while being average both this season and last. The likes of Joe Cole are also paid a lot to do very little. At least Suarez is contributing consistently.

To me liverpool are no better (or worse) than last season, people are giving them a bit more credit because of younger players and a more modern manager, Im far from convinced with Rogers, the fact Swansea have not been effected by him leaving, makes me feel Im correct that the success was more down to the philosophy of the club than the indivdual manager. I think the man they should have gone for was the manager of the opposition today.

I was a bit unsure about Villa at the start of the season but am gettin more impressed by the week, there is no chance they are going down. Its not surprising they started slowly with an influx of players with no premiership (some with no top level in any country) experience but results are improving as they get used to the league and they look a real team. Lambert is squeezing every bit of potenital out of his players and I get the impression he has a plan that everyone buys into, something I dont feel about liverpool.

One player who has really impressed me is Lowton, I had never seen him play before this season but he seemed to adapt to the league from day 1 and seems to be getting better. I have a feeling he will become one of the top right backs in the league.

Rogers makes a rod for his own back with his Brentesque comments. To win 3 in a row, against Southampton (1-0 versus a side with one of the worst GA in the Prem), a depleted Udinese and a fotuitous win at West Ham and he suddenly spouts out rubbish about aiming for 2nd place. He was asking for a kick in the spuds and Villa applied the size 9's.

I don't recall Rodgers actually saying Liverpool could finish 4th. He was merely stating the points differential between Liverpool in 11th and 2nd. However, people have an agenda on here about Liverpool so I'm not massively surprised that a quote has been pulled apart.

I agree he has beeen misinterpreted but I think it was the newspapers who were the main culprits for leading with misleading headlines.

I feel the same with all local premier league clubs TBH! Just adds fuel to the armchair w*nkers living in N Wales arguments for not watching the only professional sports team in the area!
