Default YOUR top 20 albums of the 1970's

Or less than 20 if you can't think of enough good ones.

I'm still thinking.

Okay, I've done 20.

George Harrison – All Things Must Pass
John Lennon - Imagine
The Beatles – Let it Be
Kraftwerk - Autobahn
Kraftwerk – Trans Europe Express
David Bowie – Low
Giorgio Moroder – From Here to Eternity
Suicide - Suicide
Velvet Underground - Loaded
Carole King – Tapestry
John Lennon – Plastic Ono Band
Paul McCartney - Ram
Kraftwerk – The Man Machine
Kraftwerk - Radio-Activity
Joy Division – Unknown Pleasures
Paul Simon – Paul Simon
Simon and Garfunkel – Bridge Over Troubled Water
The Beach Boys – Sunflower
Sparks – No 1 in Heaven
Al Green – Call Me

I don't think any of these these quite reach the heights of the very best of the 60's and I generally prefer the 80's, 90's and 00's , but still loads of excellent albums for me to like from the 70's.

Some fine, fine choices all round here. I'm not going to include any 70s Led Zep, AC/DC or Neil Yoing in my list as they're all brilliant in my opinion.

Not really listened to enough 70's for me to get a good diverse list on the go. Good shout from Robin Redvest on Television - Marquee Moon though, that would have made any list I made.

As would Nick Drake - Pink Moon. T'is an amazing album.

All great albums already mentioned, I'll throw into the mix (which hopefully haven't already been mentioned)....

Modern Lovers - Modern Lovers
Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street
Stooges - Raw Power
Neu! - 75
Faust - IV
John Cale - Pais 1919
Nick Drake - Bryter Layter
ELO - Out of the Blue

Guess which one is my girlfriends choice!
