That's the beauty of it. Someone genuinely thought it was a good way to spend their money.

Definitley Dortmund - that terrace is superb! In fact, most German grounds I've been to are fantastic and a great advert for safe standing.

The San Mames in Bilbao is amazing, atmosphere-wise too

Mold Alex[/QUOTE]

Great pic of the finest football ground in North Wales, many a happy hour spent sheltering under the Tommy Wynne cover, the stand gets a bit chilly when the wind blows in off the Alyn river.

Braga's looks quality as do Nou Camp, San Siro etc. Never been in St James' but it looks ace, outside it is pretty imposing over the city centre. Always been an admirer of Dortmund's amazing terrace, i've been outside it but never been in. San Siro (the only non-Wales, England or Scotland ground i've been to) was great despite Wales being hammered and getting rained on with piss, although watching Pryce Griffiths nearly get covered in it too almost made it worth it. Goodison is smart. Anfield and White Hart Lane good too. Every time I went to Old Trafford i've sat too high up to really appreciate the atmosphere. Might sound strange but I always liked Gay Meadow, Ninian Park and the Vetch. Good atmospheric shitholes.

Beat me to it regarding Ninian and the Vetch. Was a sad day when they closed.

Newer grounds I like are The New Den and the Britannia.

The Braga one wins my vote, it must generate a huge atmosphere!

Here are some other ones that haven't been mentioned:

Hrazdan Stadium in Armenia (Great surroundings)

Omnilife Stadium in Mexico

Allianz Arena, amazing for a modern stadium

And everyone's favourite:
