Unfortunately, this is not a long term solution. You can only go back to the well so many times. Hopefully, this support will enable the club to attract types of players that will get us challenging for promotion. If we are up at the right end of the table then we will generate revenues through the turnstiles, merchandise and sponsorship. One off fundraisers are good to generate interest for a short period but a more sustainable model needs to be in place.

Fair enough, I stand corrected.

Is there a mechanism for for fans to set up a Standing Order/Direct Debit to pay a set amount each month, similar to how I pay to Trust Membership, can you help with this Pagl?
You can set up a standing order from your own bank and pay into the budget
bank account each month as required.
(SORT CODE 08-92-99 ACCOUNT NUMBER 65162624).

A direct debit has to be requested from the recipients bank account - normally used to repay loans etc.) so stick with standing order.

Whether DK chooses to invest in a player from a lower division and pay a fee which then may turn out to generate even more a la Vardy, Bogle and others or pay the wages for an experienced player that proves to be the leader we need is for him to make.

As per the original thread then far better if fans posted details of their pledges rather than look to decry this initiative. If you don't want to contribute then fine its your choice but FFS don't put others off and go an derail another thread if you can.
Well said.

I'll be chipping in but once we have all chipped in once or twice the novelty wears off. Better idea would of been a draw with all profits going to the playing squad budget. £10 a month with a member get 50% of the pot as winnings, 500 members would mean £2500 a month into our budget and build it up as the club grows and push it with family members etc who do not attend for what ever reason and I'm sure we could grow to 1000 members putting 5k into our monthly budget. My Mrs for example before the gold bond joined with Blackpools herself, mother and sister all entered as away of supporting the local team although they do not attend games but stopped once less funds went to the club. All three of them would sign into a draw if they had a chance of winning but just asking for handouts limits it to the same people as always.

I agree I suggested something like this awhile ago a drum draw but WST members only, where you pay in a sum of money a month and draw put for 3 prizes all money into a player budget, then fans have an even bigger incentive to donate regularly.

What I don't wish to see like when Pagl originally suggested this build the budget is it becoming like some competition of I've pledged this amount etc... Every penny counts but I wouldn't like to see fans overstretching their own budgets to keep up with the Joneses I will donate but I won't be telling a soul how much that's my business.

Talking of money on a day when Spencer Harris was talking up the feel good factor on the pitch in the university end Jonesy bar it's still closed looking like a white elephant and the queue to the food kiosk all the way to the toilet block... Losing money from some potential customers, maybe the security standing around chatting could man the bar if we can have a collection for a fridge.
