Question Re: Nine Acre "Legends"

Ashmore would hurl the wooden blackboard cleaner across the room at miscreants and lift you from your desk by pulling your hair until you stood. Good old days?

I'll see you your paltry blackboard cleaner and raise you sharp chisels chucked by "Irish" one of the woodwork teachers at Bryn Offa.

Is nine acres the fields on which the Hawarden Grammar School X1 gave you Wrexham Boys a yearly lesson in how to win football games in the late fifties and sixties?

If that is the case you could certainly add to the 'legends' list.

My chemistry teacher set up an experiment incorrectly, causing me to get a mouthful of citric acid.
A maths teacher made one of my mates put his head down with his ear to the desk, then punched him on the other ear. Hard.

Crane the Maths teacher was another.

Twigger the German Master was a nice chap, though somewhat misunderstood by most of us.

I think you are correct. However we beat HMS Conway at rugby.

Was Twigger the chap who took lunch in The Horse and Jockey most days. Charlie Death was also venemous with the board duster, knocked off a lads specs and smashed them. It was a very good shot from the front of the room.
Then there was Bunny Warren who spent his time locked in his office preparing for exams which would enable him to become an HMI.
Bill Twice in Biology also known as William Williams.
Not forgetting Rabdosh the latin teacher who had an additional pocket sown into his gown to hold his cane so that he could beat the students regularly.
