Appeals by Poole, Hungerford and Darlo rejected by FA this afternoon.

Darlo's appeal was never going to be accepted with Salford sitting in 6th.

Terrible decision. It should be about what happens on the pitch, not what the stadiums are like.

Some terrible grounds in the conference, but because you have 500 covered seats, that's ok!

In all fairness, Darlington's is just a field with 1 tiny stand.

It's like The Rock, but with a smaller stand. I can't help but feel that the decision to turn the appeal down has something to do with Salford's current position however.

It's got more that 1 tiny stand. It's got a full length covered terrace 1 goal, a decent sized terrace that straddles the half way line, and a seating stand the other side (even if only a few rows deep)

The fa or conference has screwed them over! Darlington got the money together to build new stands at the local rugby club to meet fa stadium requirements, then half way through construction the fa change the rules on covered seating!

You are right, the terrace straddling the halfway line is new and the pics I looked at our out dated. Good spot.

Still, it's more tinpot than anything I remember us playing in at this level. Has any team been in this league with a ground capacity of 3000?

No, but having been to Nuneaton and the old Kettering ground (one new and one ancient) with pretty basic facilities, and the experience of Guiseley where the whole ground looks like a temporary set up due to be pulled down at any moment, you have to wonder if the Darlington decision is about box ticking rather than common sense.
