In the article it says they have only listed him incase he doesn't sign the contract they offered him as they don't want him to leave for nothing so if he does leave he would command a fee, long story short - he ain't coming to Wrexham which is why I didn't list him. I'd imagine he'll stay where he is they don't want him to leave they are just covering all bases.

Maddison has 12 months left on his contract and Peterborough have a policy of getting a fee for players instead of nothing in 12 months time,in the last transfer window a few championship clubs were taking a look at him including Aston villa who sent Brian Little who is good at picking up talent!

The wages situation should be simple.
Our budget means we can pay more than some other local teams. Maccy, Jester, Southport, Stockport etc.
We need to sign a couple of their better players together with experience.
Spend 60% of the budget on the spine of the team and then top up with some loan deals.
That way we compete wages wise and use the budget on a smaller squad.

The released lists that will really interest me are the teams that are fairly local.

Bolton, Bury, Rochdale, Crewe, Port Vale, Tranmere, Blackpool, Accrington etc

Players who will live in a commutable distance.

In the position we're in now, we're not really going to be paying enough wages/ or offer a long enough contract where a player will want relocate, and uproot their family and move here.
