The fund just continues to grow - it now stands at £46,470 and donations still seem to be coming it - so keep it up. Maybe a few signings will push it even further.

Great support from the fans.
PAGL are you in a position to say how good the uptake has been with standing orders?

It's vital BtB keeps growing and we do reach a significant figure over the summer so if DK feels he needs more budget than he has been allocated then there is money available. We don't want him missing out on key targets for the sake of another £20- £30K.

I realise the club are looking to more support from businesses and fans will be now looking to find money for STS, but a small donation each month from enough fans will help get us closer to the sort of figure Grimsby achieved prior to their promotion season.

Well I was hoping to use my donation to take part in the 'Red for a Day' event, but still no news from Geoff or the club on this :(

Hi Chuno.....

What is it you need to know from Geoff and/or the club?

My booking is secured, and the shape of our two hours is now finally sorted too, so if you have any questions around all that, i could probably answer

If you were trying to put a team in then its tight timing now isnt it for you as the dates are next monday and a week tomorrow, the saturday

Or were you just asking the club if there are any spare places with any of the teams who have booked?

If its the latter, then i could only partially help.....i have 25 playing, there is one spare sub place in one of our two teams. It means you would not start, but you would deffo get some playing time, as we will make sure all four subs are on before HT, and then we will do roll on roll off after that, but all four subs would stay on for the whole of the rest of the game (unless they were gasping to go off again of course!)

Just a thought for you anyway....

But if you were looking to put a whole team in, i cant help, except to say try to email the club again

Cheers :)

Hi WrexSi,

Thanks for that, I was just looking to see if i was able to join in with another team. I was under the impression from the BTB page on the official club page that they were going to do a day whereby you could just make a donation for your place and join up with others (instead of having to book a whole team)

I have been in contact with Geoff and he said that he was going to try and sort something but nothing has materialised.

Thanks for the offer to join in with yours - what date is your match?

Hi Chuno, good to hear from u mate

Yeh i was under the impression that maybe you could just donate and join a team of others who are doing the same thing

Maybe it didnt work out and perhaps all teams have gone in ready-made like my two teams have....so, Geoff/club couldnt get you a game

If they do now come back to you and you get an offer of a full game, grab it mate

But if you are happy to join our game, sub to start with, but on well before HT and then stay on for the remainder, then that would be great

We are playing a week tomorrow, the saturday, 10,00 a,m....i figured this was a good slot as we will have quite a few WaGs who will want to go shopping in the afternoon, etc etc, so, footy would be best in the morning

If you want to firm up your place, you might want to private-message me on here, save us clogging up this thread!

I would then arrange an email to send you all the details, as i have a stock email now which everyone who is playing receives, with all the info anyone would ever need

Cheers, si

Ps as u say, all proceeds to BtB, so with this event and my seasontickets renewal in the next fortnight too, i am doing my bit!

I will be donating £50 from a bet I had with the brother-in-law, a deluded Liverpool fan, who bet me, at Christmas, that they would win the Premiership...haha, what a mug!

How about doing a food festival at the Racecourse, in the future? Tie it in with the concerts as the pitch will get replaced anyway so no risk of damaging the playing surface.

Prefer a beer festival as long as it's proper beer!

There's already an annual Beer & Cider Festival, that takes place in the Centenary Club.
This year it's on the Friday 19th May (2pm-11pm) & Saturday 20th May (12 noon-11pm) - costs £5 to get in.

Looking at the agent's alleged £41M fee from Paul Pogba. Perhaps we just need a football agent to join the WST and donate some of that money to our club under the 1 member 1 vote ruling.

£50,000 is an amazing effort from the fans.

I think the WST also need's to consider investing in profitable business categories. E.g. Property etc. Do what others have done to our club. Make money from property in North Wales, but act differently by actually putting that profit back into our club where others promised they would but obviously didnt.
