The fans want him, keep them happy and the money will continue to come in, we went down that route with him so what could possibly go wrong for them?

Manny Smith made it clear he would not stay under Mills and so wasn't offered a new deal. There were alot of players who weren't happy.

Not too sure, but seems to have been a cover up or at least an attempt at one to appease the fans with all the goings on, simply wasn't on. I still can't get my head around why he was kept on for so long, the damage he did far outweighs any financial costs in my opinion.
