Yep agree with this

Agree with burtos re next year. Aldershot announced they were retaining most of their first team squad over a week ago. They admitted this was a risk but said they were looking for continuity. If only.

Part 1: Full marks to Dean Keates for his essential clinical decisions resulting in the not unsurprising small retained list. Part 2: Assemble a stronger squad capable of making a realistic title or playoff challenge - the difficult part! Good luck!

Always considered Dunne the better of the two keepers since he started in pre season - far more assured. Keates gave Jalal a run of games at the end of the season - both have weaknesses in their game - that why they are at this level - Jalal good shot stopper but distribution questionable and doesn't come out to claim anything in the air - correct decision to release.

As for the rest of the squad - a dreadful season and finishing 13th and every club other than relegated North Ferriby United scoring more goals required drastic action - at least DK now has a blank canvass and can be judged by the team he assembles - although there may be some reservations over a few individuals being released lets see who he brings in - obviously thinks he can bring in better players for the money he has available to assemble a squad. There were too many average lightweight underperformers in our squad with limited armoury - no leaders and very few goal scoring contributers - from set pieces in years gone by you could always be reliant on the odd goal from the centre backs - even calamity Blaine Hudson would score a few - but nothing this season.

The prompt action by DK gives him maximum time to bring in new blood.

Agree with this. Did anyone see Wolland this season? Mills gave him a contract and loaned him out to Colwyn Bay. Would he be a good back-up?

Ruthless from Keates. Good. Do not get this White love in at all. We can do a lot better for probably cheaper too. On the fence about Riley as he was POTS deservedly but on the other hand, he's extremely injury prone and probably on a fair wedge. The rest I don't think anyone can argue about. All for opinions and what not but anyone who wants Hunt, Durrell or Hudson is deluded. Hopefully we stay well away. I trust Keates.
